For someone who is not a shaman to look too deep into a shaman's death gate can be mentally hazardous.

Not everyone who is born with the gate, ends up becoming a Shaman.

Of those who are called to service, it is estimated 1/3 do not survive the training by spirit, and I would guess another 1/3 do survive with some damage. To my mind these statistics represent a horrible waste of very gifted people.

In my experience of mentoring shamans, the survival rate can be massively increased if the new shaman has the right support, guidance and advice of a more experienced shaman.

This site is to bring older shamans and new ones together for mentoring and support, for the purpose of increasing the survival and success rate of these uniquely gifted individuals.
